Petar Jakovljevic
MMA Fighter and Bare Knuckle Boxer
Petar Jakovljevic is an MMA fighter and Bare Knuckle boxer. In a time when it is well known in combat sports that many fighters choose easier opponents and safer fights to build their records, Petar has followed the opposite path. Early in his career, he began facing tough opponents, including the #1-ranked lightweight in the region and other Top 10 fighters in the region. After 14 fights, his amateur MMA record stands at 6–8–0. Alongside his amateur MMA career, Petar also competes in professional Bare Knuckle boxing.
Petar built his name by showing from an early stage of his amateur career that he deliberately avoided easy “build-up fights” and weaker opponents, choosing instead to seek out difficult challenges against the best fighters in the region. He also demonstrated a strong mentality and the ability to fight his way back from major setbacks. One major setback in his journey came in 2024, when pre-existing health problems caused him to collapse during a fight and subsequently led to cardiac arrest.
He fought his way back from hard setbacks many times, facing most of his fights without a coach or team by his side. He proved that he can compete with the best fighters in Europe. According to his own statements, he does not plan to turn professional in MMA for many years to come.
