Petar Jakovljevic is an amateur MMA fighter and bare knuckle boxer.

An intriguing fighter driven by a rare and unconventional philosophy. At a time when many fighters in combat sports are known to choose easier opponents and safer matchups to build their records, Petar has taken the opposite path. Early in his career, he began facing elite competition, including the #1-ranked amateur lightweight in Germany, a fighter ranked among the top 10 fighters in all of Europe, and several other fighters among Europe’s best. After 14 fights, his amateur MMA record stands at 6–8–0. Alongside his amateur MMA career, Petar also competes in Bare Knuckle Boxing.

Petar built his name by showing from an early stage of his amateur career that he deliberately avoided easy “build-up fights” and weaker opponents, choosing instead to seek out difficult challenges against some of the best fighters in Europe. He also built his career on his own, without a dedicated team or coach, while demonstrating a strong mentality and the ability to fight his way back from major setbacks. 

One notable setback in his journey came in 2024, when he collapsed during a fight due to a severe infection. The infection led to sepsis, multiple organ failure, and cardiac arrest, requiring immediate resuscitation. Petar fought his way back from this life-threatening situation.

He has fought his way back from difficult setbacks many times, facing most of his fights without a coach and a team by his side, and he has also proven that he can compete with the best fighters in Europe.
